Glow's Aftercare

Glow’s core goal for clinical quality is to deliver great value and excellent clinical outcomes through a reliable care process. One of our key objectives is to ensure the clinical outcomes for all our patients are consistent with their pre-discussed expectations while also safeguarding high standards of care. We will always endeavour to act in a professional manner and comply with regulations and best practice guidelines.

It is a priority for us that we ensure all our patients are aware of any procedural risks and complications and what they can expect from Glow’s aftercare policy. From their initial consultation onwards, we provide our patients with comprehensive information which helps them to make an informed decision about moving forward with a cosmetic surgery procedure and gaining confidence in Glow.

Open door policy

We aim to support our patients at every stage of their journey with Glow. If you ever have any concerns or queries following your surgery, even if you’re outside the agreed warranty and aftercare, we will provide continued care and arrange for you to see a nurse free of charge. For any clinical concerns, Glow will arrange an appointment with a nurse at a local Glow clinic, and if they feel it’s necessary, will arrange for you to be seen by a surgeon at the next convenient date.

Glow 24-Hour Emergency Nurse

Glow offer 24-hour access to a qualified specialist cosmetic surgery nurse. During office hours patients will be able to call their clinic to speak with a nurse, and for out of hours (weekends and 5.30pm-9.30am weekdays) patients will be provided with an emergency contact number. If patients require emergency medical attention and care, they can use this number to provide them with information and assistance. We do this so our patients have continuous reassurance from Glow’s specialist nurses who are in contact with our surgeons and Medical Director.

You can’t always think of just your procedure, you really have to consider your aftercare. I have to say, they’ve been absolutely fantastic how they’ve looked after me. Now I’m singing Glow by MYA from the rooftops!

Post-operative appointments

All patients must attended postoperative appointments set by their clinical team and follow the advice and guidance, which they will receive at their pre-operative assessment and surgeon consultation. These appointments are essential for ensuring patients are healing and recovering well, therefore failure to follow this guidance may compromise the final result. In some cases, this may result in the surgeon deciding they are unable to carry out revision surgery.

Free Revision

There may be instances where further surgery is required following a procedure. This is something that will be discussed and agreed between you and your surgeon to determine if it is clinically appropriate. In these cases, Glow will provide corrective surgery, hospital accommodation (where applicable) and nursing care for up to 3 years after your original surgery, free of charge. You can find more information about this in section 7(e) of the MYA Patient Information Guide.

Stay informed, feel confident and supported.

Breast Augmentation Aftercare

For our breast enlargement patients, we provide specialised support and aftercare for up to 3 years from the date of original surgery. Glow will provide free of charge and if clinically appropriate, corrective surgery, hospital accommodation, and replacement implants of the same size where capsular contracture occurs. Unless deemed clinically required by the operating surgeon, should the patient wish to change their implant size; a fee will be applicable. In the case of confirmed rupture, Glow’s aftercare as in section 7(c) of the Patient Information Guide applies. However, financial assistance might be offered by your implant company. Mentor offers assistance for a period of up to 10 years from the date of the implantation.
